Kangchenjunga, Nepal – May 18th, 12:45PM- Kristin, the Norwegian mountaineer and adventurer, has once again pushed her limits by successfully reaching the summit of Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world, under a week after summitting Makalu. This accomplishment marks Kristin’s fourth summit of the year, showcasing her unwavering determination, skill, and commitment to her mountaineering goals. As Norwegians across the globe celebrated their rich heritage and national pride yesterday on the Norwegian National day, Kristin’s accomplishment stands as an example of the indomitable spirit and adventurous nature deeply ingrained in the Norwegian identity.
Ascending to an elevation of 8,586 meters (28,169 feet), Kangchenjunga presented formidable challenges, with its treacherous terrain, unpredictable weather conditions, and sheer magnitude. Undeterred by these obstacles, Kristin demonstrated her mountaineering prowess, honed through years of training, experience, and a deep passion for the mountains.
Big round of applause to Kristin and her entire climbing team for this successful summit of Kanchenjunga, including Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa who has climbed every mountain this year with her so far, as well as Gelu Sherpa. Kristin would also like to extend her thanks to her amazing team of sponsors: Bremont, Osprey, Scarpa, SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge, Sparebanken Vest, Helsport, Global Rescue, Outdoor and REAL Turmat. She would also like to thank all those who have contributed to her climb and all her followers.
Kristin’s achievements serve as a testament to the human spirit and the pursuit of dreams against all odds. Her determination, resilience, and commitment continue to inspire individuals from all walks of life to strive for their own personal summits.
