Gasherbrum II, Pakistan – July 15th, approx. 07:45AM – Mountaineer Kristin Harila and Tenjin (Lama) Sherpa have achieved yet another feat in their quest to summit the world’s highest peaks. Today, Kristin and Lama successfully summited Gasherbrum II, marking their 11th triumph in the awe-inspiring 14 Peaks project.
Gasherbrum II, also known as K4, stands at an imposing altitude of 8,035 meters (26,362 feet) in the Karakoram Range of the Himalayas. The mountain is notorious for its challenging terrain and extreme weather conditions, making it a formidable test for even the most experienced climbers. Kristin and her team’s unwavering determination, exceptional skill, and relentless pursuit of their goals have propelled them to this significant milestone.
The completion of Gasherbrum II signifies another achievement for Kristin, bringing her closer to her goal of conquering all 14 of the world’s highest mountains. Her efforts, combined with her passion for adventure and exploration, have captivated the attention and admiration of mountaineering enthusiasts worldwide. With only three more mountains to go, she looks forward to the completion of her project with anticipation.
