Kristin Harila Reaches Manaslu’s Summit, Completing All Peaks in Tibet and Nepal on Her Quest for the 14 Summits

Manaslu, Nepal – June 10th, approx. 03:30AM – Accomplished mountaineer Kristin Harila has reached another significant milestone in her extraordinary journey to summit the world’s 14 highest peaks. Today, Kristin and Lama successfully summited Manaslu, thereby completing all the mountains in Tibet and Nepal. Manaslu, towers at an elevation of 8,163 meters (26,781 feet. Kristin and her team are grateful to have been able to reach the summit of Manaslu before the monsoon season begins in Nepal.

With Manaslu summitted, this marks the completion of the nine peaks of more than 8000m in Tibet and Nepal. Thus, Kristin’s quest for the 14 summits enters a new phase. The five mountains in Pakistan now stand before her, and she looks forward to the challenges that lie ahead and at the next mountains she will face: Nanga Parbat, K2, Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak and Gasherbrum II.

Congratulations to Kristin and her entire climbing team for this successful summit of Manaslu, including Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa who has climbed every mountain this year with her so far, as well as Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Chhangba Sherpa, Kaji Sherpa, Nima Dorchi sherpa and Sonam Tashi Sherpa.
